The Cannonball House

"Mansion of the Old South." The Cannonball House was built in 1853 for Judge Asa Holt.  It was struck by a cannonball during a Union Army attack on July 30, 1864.  At the rear of the Cannonball House stands a quaint two-story kitchen structure built of hand-molded brick.  The upper level of this house formerly served as quarters for the house servants.  Also, a Confederate museum with multiple Civil War artifacts are located in the house.  A charming English garden is located on the back of the property.
