Scare the Crows and Fall Decorating Contests

Scare the Crows and Fall Decorating Contests

Everett Square Neighborhood in Fort Valley hosts a Fall Decorating contest in the Historic District!

Everyone is invited to decorate their home or business by October 15!

The theme: Happy Fall, Ya'll!

An experienced judge from out of town will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in family and business categories.

The scarecrow contest takes place at Everett Park on October 15 from 4-6 p.m.

Teams of businesses, families, clubs, churches, civic groups, community workers, etc. will  build a scarecrow in the park from 4:00 to 4:30 pm.   Plan your scarecrow and get your stuff ahead of time, but you must assemble it or set it up in the park in 30 min.!!! Please call Jo Ann Dankel  (825-1935) with questions.

You can mount your scarecrow any way you like--on a garden stake, a wheelbarrow, a bicycle, whatever--use your creativity!
