Scrapbooking Adhesives

If you’re planning to scrapbook one of the major components is “scrapbooking adhesive.” The choices are endless…tapes, glues, dots, mounting corners, the list goes on and on. When I first began scrapping the latest greatest was a glue stick…adhesives have come a long way since then. Personally I like to use photo splits or tape runners. There are quite a few brands to choose from, so be sure you check out the details on the packaging. You want to be sure to use ones that are safe for your photographs. The adhesive needs to be acid free, lignin free, pvc free, nontoxic and pass the PAT test. Tape runners are pretty much an essential, there your all-purpose adhesive and are very easy to use. Double sided tape is another good adhesive, available in permanent and removable. Photo mounting corners are great for when your photos need to be removable.

Scrapbook Classes

Car Show in the Valley

Antique car lovers throughout the state are saying goodbye to the harsh winter weather and polishing their machines for a spring showcase.

Fort Valley State University  President Larry E. Rivers and the Boys and Girls Club of Georgia Heartlands are revving up for the 5th Annual Wheels in the Valley Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show, an FVSU news release says.

Safe Photo Storage

You’ve taken pictures, printed out the best ones, now what? Add them to a scrapbook. “I don’t have time.” “I’m not creative.” “It cost too much.” All of these excuses are just that…excuses. The least we can do is store our memories properly. While I am not the most creative and will probably never be caught up with putting my pictures in an album I do want to preserve them for my children and grandchildren…after all it is their heritage. I want to share with you some do’s and don’ts for storing and protecting your pictures until you have time to put them in a scrapbook or photo safe album.
