Thousands Head To Byron For Dukes of Hazzard Reunion | News
Thousands of good old boys and girls came to Peach County to meet the cast of the Dukes of Hazzard.
13WMAZ talked to fans who came from all over Georgia and the United States.
Troy Nichols said he drove over 1500 miles from Maine to get Daisy Duke and the rest of the gang to sign the trunk lift of his General Lee.
"I am going to tell her (Catherine Bach) that she looks just as beautiful as she did when she was in the TV series," said Nichols.
And Nichols wasn't the only one weak in the knees over meeting Bach.
"It's great you know I am panicking I don't know what to say, I have a panic attack," said Jim Kamppi of Buford, South Carolina.
Some fans say they grew up on the show, and admitted to getting a little starstruck in front of the cast.
"I didn't know what to say when you meet a star from a TV show who you really don't know what to say I told him I've been waiting a long time to meet you all and I finally got it," said Jason Atkinson of Fitzgerald.
There were also plenty of Hazzard cast look-alikes who brought their own take on the TV show.
The Dukes of Hazzard reunion will continue on Sunday and the gates will open at 10.
