Flint Energies to Raise Base Rate | News

Flint Energies announced a raise in residential customers' base rate by one dollar.

According to a news release, the base rate will rise from $21 to $22 on April 1.

The new base rate moves the "service charge closer to the true cost-of-service for residential members." 

They estimate that the "true cost-of-service" is about $30 per month for residential customers.

The company plans to increase the base charge $1 a year through 2017, when the rate would hit $27 a month.
