My Teacher is Tops: Donna Spillers | News

This week's 'My Teacher is Tops' winner is a 3rd grade teacher at Crawford County Elementary School.

Donna Spillers has taught school for 25 years, and she works hard to make a difference in the lives of her students.

She says winning the My Teacher is Tops award helps her to realize how her students truly feel about her.

"It just makes the 25 years worth it. Knowing that I have students that feel that way about me, that I'm making a difference in their life, because that's what I set out to do," said Spillers.

Greer Gardner wrote the nomination letter. She says Spillers is a great teacher because she helps the students in any way possible.

"When I had trouble in math, she helped me. She wants all of us to succeed in third grade," said Gardner.
