FVSU Lady Wildcats Host SIAC-PBC Challenge | News

The Fort Valley State Lady Wildcats tipped off their season last week with an 11 point home loss to Valdosta State, but this weekend they get back on the court and back into the action.

Coach Lonnie Bartley in his 29th year, is dealing with a youth movement in the Valley. The Lady Wildcats return 7 players off last years SIAC championship squad, but introduce 9 freshman to the roster. This Saturday kicks off the Jesse Brown Challenge which places the SIAC and Peach Belt against one another in a 4 game tournament and Bartley hopes to see improvement from his inexperienced squad.

Fort Valley, Albany State, Georgia Southwestern and Columbus State will participate in the games during the weekend. Tipoff is Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
