Dukes of Hazzard to Reunite in Byron | News

Calling all "Dukes of Hazzard" fans.

7 actors from the original cast plan to reunite at the Middle Georgia Raceway in Byron March 8th, 9th and 10th. You can see Bo Duke (John Schneider), Luke Duke (Tom Wopat), Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach), Ben Jones (Cooter), Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (James Best), Deputy Enos (Sonny Schroyer), and Cletus Hogg (Rick Hurst).

Organizer Chris Jennings says the event is called the Dukes of Hazzard Georgia Reunion: Classic Car Show and Music Festival.

The Jones County Cruisers will put on the car show that Saturday and Sunday. They plan to have about 500 antique cars on display, along with the General Lee and Daisy Duke Jeep.

Jennings says other Dukes of Hazzard reunion events usually attract about 50,000 people for two-day events.

He expects this one to attract more because they are booking several musical guests and hosting the car show.

Entertainers include David Allen Coe, Confederate Railroad and the A to Z Band.

Jennings says they will have about 200 vendors on hand and offer helicopter rides.

Profits will benefit several local charities including a toy and bike drive for the Department of Family and Children's Services, the Houston County Humane Society and the Alzheimers Association.

Event organizers plan a news conference Thursday to release more details on the event.
