Crawford Child Dies After Falling Into Pool | News

Crawford County investigators are looking into how a toddler fell into a pool Sunday evening.

The child was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Crawford County Coroner David O'Neal says he died Monday at 9:37pm.

According to Sheriff Lewis Walker, the call of a drowning came in at 7:23pm.  The boy, who was almost 2 years old, did not live at the home, but was visiting family.

Sheriff Walker says the Department of Family and Children Services has been notified of the incident, which is still under investigation. Oneal says an autopsy will be performed Tuesday.
