Volunteers Spruce Up Fort Valley Neighborhoods
News

Some Peach County residents cleaned up their neighborhoods and communities on Saturday as part of the Great American Cleanup.

Volunteers put on their gloves, and vests, and loaded up their garbage bags as they headed out into the community to pick up trash.

Keep Peach County Clean and Beautiful worked with the volunteers to get more people involved in sprucing up their own communities. They also taught them about the importance of not littering.

"We just want to clean up the debris and have people get some pride in their community," says Dorthy Crumbly. "I think if they see us out cleaning up their own community they will want to come out and help us clean up."

The group targeted two Fort Valley neighborhoods, Tabor Heights and The Gano Community.
