The Fort Valley Police Department needs help identifying a man involved in an attempted armed robbery, in which a convenience store owner was shot Thursday around 11:30 a.m.

According to a news release posted on Facebook, he was described to deputies by witnesses as a black male, in his mid-to-late 20s, approximately 5"10" or 6'0", with a slim build and low haircut.
