Peach County Battles Youth Movement in 2013 | News
FORT VALLEY - In Fort Valley, the Peach County Trojans are also busy preparing for kickoff in just a few weeks. Coach Chad Campbell says there is a youth movement in the Valley and they don't have a practice to waste.
The Trojans are coming off an 11-2 campaign in 2012, en route to a 3rd round playoff loss to Hall County. This fall, the black and yellow, return 11 starters to both the offense and defense. So the remaining spots to fill, are expected to be occupied by a mix of freshman and sophomores who are new to the speed of high school football.
"Offensively we have a quarterback back, an all state offensive tackle and the leading rusher from last year in Keyshon Lowe", says Campbell. "Greg Williams is the quarterback and Chavis Dickey has been our bellcow on offense, he's been offered and committed to Central Florida The rest are new, inexperienced guys or young guys."
Peach will host Northside in a scrimmage on the 23rd before they take on Perry in their home opener on the 30th.
