Dukes' Reunion Drew More Than 53,000 to Byron

March's Dukes of Hazzard Reunion was so successful for the track and the city of Byron that organizers say they're bringing it back next year -- and with some new special guests.

Chris Jennings says more than 53,000 people attended the events over the course of the three days at the historic Middle Georgia Raceway.

He also says the event brought in $1 million in sales tax revenue for the area.

Plans are already in the works for next year's reunion and it's possible the Dukes will have some company.

Jennings says they are in contract talks to bring the cast of "Smokie and the Bandit" to next year's event, which will be held March 7-9, 2014.

The track will also host "Extreme Monster Madness," a monster truck and motorcross stunt show May 31 and June 1.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday and cost $20 for adults, $10 for kids ages 10-2. Kids under two are free.
