'Office Creeper' Hits Central Georgia Businesses | Crime
A man known as the "Office Creeper" is wanted by counties all over Georgia for thefts from businesses.
Authorities say he hit central Georgia businesses on Wednesday.
Perry Police Captain Heath Dykes with says the man is 54-year-old Antonio Hornsby.
As reported by our sister station WXIA, the man poses as a contracted maintenance man and then proceeds to steal wallets from workers while pretending to inspect air filters, etc.
Dykes says it appears Hornsby worked his way up Interstate 75 Wednesday, hitting businesses in Cordele, Perry, Byron and in Bibb County.
Hornsby allegedly entered Landmark Realty and Source Care Management in Perry, stealing employees' wallets in both locations, and made an unsuccessful attempt to get into the Perry Ag Center.
Investigators say Hornsby is a black male, bald, 5'11" tall and weighs around 260 pounds. He wears glasses.
He is believed to be driving a stolen 1994 gold Buick Regal with Georgia tag GA8031.
Dykes says Hornsby is wanted for business thefts in Athens-Clarke County and Henry County as well.
