Crime

Crawford County Sheriff's Office has arrested four men accused of robbing Trophy Ridge Hunting Club on Ray Frost Road. That's according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

The release says investigators found several campers damaged and burglarized when they responded to a burglary call at the hunting club on Feb. 17.

Sheriff Lewis Walker says items from some of the campers were recovered at a home on Giles Circle in Byron.

According to the sheriff, 45-year-old Johnny Eugene Giles of Byron and 36-year-old James Wiley Moore of Knoxville were arrested Feb. 20. They are charged with 11 counts of burglary.

On February 22, Sheriff Walker says 26-year-old Leonard Roseman Partain of Byron was also arrested and charged with 11 counts of burglary.

Also on Feb. 22, the sheriff says 30-year-old Jason Alan Sauls of Byron was arrested by Bibb County Sheriff's deputies. He is being held on charges in Bibb County, but Walker says he will be charged with 11 counts of burglary in Crawford County.

The sheriff says some of the stolen property is still missing and the investigation will continue.
