FORT VALLEY, GA - Can’t get enough football? If not, you can catch a preview of the 2012 Wildcats of Fort Valley State University (FVSU) during the annual Blue and Gold Scrimmage slated for Saturday, April 14th at 6 p.m. in Wildcat Stadium on the FVSU campus.    

"This year's spring game is an opportunity for fans in the middle Georgia area to get an early look at a team that returns a lot of talent from last year and includes an impressive roster signees, said Head Coach Donald Pittman. With another demanding schedule ahead, I invite everybody to come out to see the personnel that will make the 2012 Wildcat season one of our best.”
Admission to the Blue & Gold game is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for non-FVSU students and military personnel with proper identification. FVSU students with proper identification are admitted free of charge.  All proceeds from the scrimmage game benefit FVSU Athletics.
The Wildcats open the 2012 season with back-to-back, non-conference games against regions rival, Delta State (Sept. 1st) and Valdosta State (Sept. 8th) before settling into their conference schedule.
FVSU begins conference play on September 15th when they host the Panthers of Clark Atlanta University followed by a September 22nd home game against conference foe, Benedict College. They conclude the September portion of the schedule with a trip to Tuskegee, AL on Sept. 29th to meet the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University.
FVSU opens the month of October by hosting the Thorobreds of Kentucky State University on the 6th. The following weekend (Sept. 13th) is homecoming as the Wildcats host Concordia College.  On October 20th the Wildcat travel back to Valdosta for a conference match-up with the Tigers of Stillman College. On the 27th, the Wildcats play the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College.  They conclude the regular season on November 3rd in Columbus, Georgia in the 23rd Annual Fountain City Classic against Albany State University.  The SIAC championship game is set for Nov. 10.
