The Peach Regional Medical Center announces that its construction's economical impact should generate an estimated $3.8 million for the local economy.

According to a Central Georgia Health System news release, the estimated local economic impact comes in a report from the Middle Georgia Regional Commission.
Upon the expected completion in the summer of 2013, Peach County will have a modern 25-bed hospital.
The new facility will be 68,000 square feet. That's about 15,000 square feet larger than the current Peach Regional Medical Center facility in Fort Valley.
