HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – Flint Energies has won the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals (GAESP) 2012 Educational Patron Award for District 11.  As a district winner, Flint Energies is a finalist for the Georgia Distinguished Educational Patron Award.  Flint was nominated by Eagle Springs Elementary School Principal Dr. Andrea McGee.  The award will be presented at the GAESP Fall Principals Conference on Nov. 3, 2012, at St. Simons Island.  The state winner will also be announced for the first time.   

GAESP consists of 16 districts.  Each district may select an outstanding educational supporter for this award.  An excerpt from the nomination packet for Flint follows.

The Peach Regional Medical Center announces that its construction's economical impact  should generate an estimated $3.8 million for the local economy.

According to a Central Georgia Health System news release, the estimated local economic impact comes in a report from the Middle Georgia Regional Commission.

Upon the expected completion in the summer of 2013, Peach County will have a modern 25-bed hospital.

The new facility will be 68,000 square feet. That's about 15,000 square feet larger than the current Peach Regional Medical Center facility in Fort Valley.
