Tops in Blue Coming to Robins AFB on Feb 14th

Celebrating 55 years of entertainment, Tops in Blue, the Air Force's all-amateur entertainers will be performing their "Rhythm Nation" tour at the Warner Robins Civic Center on Feb 14th at 7pm.

Cost is free, first come, first served. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Yearly, each base has a talent competiton with the top performers invited to try out for Tops in Blue. Those selected are the Air Force's best-of-the-best musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, magicians and actors.

In addition to performing, they are responsible for all technical portions of the production, all aspects of travel, as well as being Air Force (AF) ambassadors to all they meet.

Fort Valley State to Hold Clinic for Peach County Job Seekers

FORT VALLEY, GA. – Job seekers are invited to Thomas Public Library for a daylong event of free activities for work preparation and professional development. On Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the following topics will be covered: finding a job and keeping it, basic computer training and résumé writing.

The library is located at 315 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Fort Valley.

Classes will be in Fort Valley State University’s 48-foot tractor-trailer that is equipped with computers. Participants can show up and are not required to pre-register; lunch and childcare will not be provided.

Attendees will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with experts to improve their interviewing skills and receive career counseling.

Annual Peach Festival Murder Mystery Dinner

The Annual Georgia Peach Festival Murder Mystery Dinner Theater will be on February 10 and 11, 2012, at the Austin Theater in downtown Fort Valley.

Written and directed by Linda Smith, "How to Kill a Class Reunion" will provide a delicious meal, lots of laughs and a fun-filled atmosphere.
