Annually since 2005, on the second Friday and Saturday in March (9th and 10th), Highway 341 in Georgia becomes home to Georgia's Longest Yard Sale.

This event, appropriately named "Peaches to the Beaches" passes through nearly 25 participating communities from Perry to Brunswick.

Free to the public, and open from 8:00am to 6:00pm, buyers are sure to find both trinkets and treasures on the 220 mile journey from middle Georgia to the SE coast of Georgia.

'Georgia's Longest Yard Sale' This Weekend

Georgia’s longest yard sale, the Peaches to the Beaches Yard Sale, is this weekend.

That's on March 9-10 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. both days along US Highway 341, a news release says.

The 200 plus mile yard sale will link peach-growing counties in middle Georgia to the beaches of Brunswick and the Golden Isles, with stops in most communities along the way. Official yard sale hours will be Friday – Saturday, March 9-10, 8am – 6pm, rain or shine.

'Crowns' A Stage Play

This gospel musical play is by Regina Taylor, which is based on the book by Craig Marberry and Michael Cunninham.

That starts tonight at 7 p.m. at the Austin Theatre in Downtown Fort Valley. 

You can see the performance on March 1, 2 or 3 evenings and March 4 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased online.

Gospel Musical to Premiere in The Valley

FORT VALLEY, GA.--Fort Valley State University's Joseph Adkins Players, first lady Betty Rivers and television and film actress Karan Kendrick are shaking up Middle Georgia's theater scene with a local production of a hit stage play, Crowns. The "roof-raising” musical comes to the Austin Theater, located in downtown Fort Valley, March 1-4.
