FORT VALLEY, GA. - The Saddle Up for St. Jude event April 14 at Fort Valley State University will include many activities such as pony rides, hay rides, horse feeding and barrel racing.
The fundraiser is on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the FVSU Agricultural Technology Conference Center, 46 Camp John Hope Road, in Fort Valley. The event will be held in the field behind the center. Proceeds from activities, which range from $1 to $15, will go toward St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
The hospital treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. It’s also recognized for conducting cancer research.
“Community members should attend this event because they can have a fun time while supporting a significant cause for children and their families,” said Sarah Dzimianski, interim equine program assistant at FVSU.
